I just shipped the Feminist Flourishing Framework ebook designs off to the developer. Many of you have emailed me over the past year requesting a digital version and I’m excited to let you know that the ebook is on her way! You can preorder it here. (Your advance purchase helps me pay for the production costs. Thank you!)
The printed version of this book was released in late 2024 but I haven’t written much about it over the past year because, to be honest, I didn’t have the nervous system capacity to do so. Every time I thought about diving in, my anxieties got the best of me. To be critiqued for your ideas is one thing, to be criticized for the life you’ve lived is another. Feminist Flourishing Framework an intensely personal book. I pull back the curtain to let you in on all that happened outside of the public eye in my journey through feminism, entrepreneurship, and healing chronic illness. It’s not a tidy success story. The mess is important.
While much contemporary feminist writing is concerned with consciousness raising (what and why) this book is also concerned with lived practice (how). How do we create a life, a business, a community, a world where our feminist beliefs are embodied? I attempt to offer some solutions to this question.
Until now, this book has only been available in a limited-edition printing. Releasing this ebook is an act of letting go of control, setting the book free, and fully birthing it into the world so it can fulfill its destiny. This may sound hyperbolic, but if you’re an artist or an entrepreneur, you know what I’m talking about. There’s a point at which the thing you’ve created no longer belongs to you, it belongs to the world. When our creations take on a life of their own, it’s both terrifying and exciting. We have to reorient ourselves: from creator to steward. And, to be honest, I couldn’t be more proud to become the steward of this book.
I’d like to invite you to help me usher this body of work into the world and celebrate all that’s gone into birthing it. How about we have a party? I could read some passages and we could do a somatic practice together, maybe play some party games? Why don’t we do it on April 1st at Noon (PDT) on Zoom? How about it’s free to attend? I think YES. Save the date. More info to come.
