I have been a feminist for 32 years and an entrepreneur for 22. I opened my first business, a small art gallery in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 25. Since then, I have been managing director of an arts nonprofit, partner in an online arts magazine, principal of a small interactive design studio, and head of my own creative consultancy. I am currently the founder/director of Sister.
In 2015, I gave a popular talk, Proposals for the Feminine Economy, that became a successful book and led me to launch Feminist Business School. In 2021, I was forced to stop working for three years to focus on healing full-time, after several years of being sick. I created the Feminist Flourishing Club to share my Feminist Flourishing Framework and the immense body of work I created on my healing journey, including the insights, tools, and strategies I developed for individual and collective flourishing.
I have a liberal arts degree in Critical Theory and Political Economy from The Evergreen State College. As an undergrad, I served as an editorial intern at Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society, the esteemed feminist academic journal. I have advanced studies in small business administration, interactive design, and healing arts. I live in a small beach town in Southern California.
