I’m the founder of Sister and a leader in the field of feminist entrepreneurship. I’ve been writing, speaking, and consulting on bringing feminist principles into business practices for over a decade. Since launching Feminist Business School in 2016, I’ve taught over 500 students and authored 3 books, Proposals for the Feminine Economy, The Business Birthing Handbook, and Feminist Flourishing Framework.

I opened my first bootstrapped business, an art gallery, at the age of 25. Since then, I’ve been head of my own creative consultancy, principal & owner of a design studio, managing director of an arts nonprofit, and business partner in an online arts magazine.

I’ve lectured internationally on feminist entrepreneurship and my work has been written about in several publications, including Forbes magazine and at least one college textbook. In 2018, I was featured in Conscious Company magazine’s 30 World-Changing Women issue.

At the height of Sister’s success, I was forced to stop working and shutter my company for three years to focus on healing full-time, after several years of being sick. In 2024, I wrote Feminist Flourishing Framework with the conviction that what we learn through the process of healing our human bodies is essential to the feminist work of healing our social, political, and economic bodies.

I created the Feminist Flourishing Club to dive deeper into the themes in the book and to share my perspectives and processes for embodying our feminist beliefs in our business behaviors.

I hold a degree in Critical Theory and political economy from The Evergreen State College. As an undergrad, I served as an editorial intern at Signs: Journal of Women in Culture and Society, the esteemed feminist academic journal. I have advanced studies in small business administration, interactive design, and healing arts, and I’ve completed several business development programs.

I am currently living on the west coast of what is, for now, the United States. I am enamored with the Pacific Ocean and spend my time tidepooling, beachcombing, swimming, kayaking, small-wave surfing, and dreaming about breathing underwater.

If you find my work valuable, join the club or leave me a tip. If you have a project or initiative you’d like me to consult or collaborate on, or if you’re interested in one-on-one feminist business advising, let’s work together.
